Marilyn is currently serving in her third term as Representative of Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District. She is a member of the House Committee on Agriculture, where she serves as Ranking Member on the House Subcommittee on Specialty Crops, Foreign Agriculture, and Rural Development. Marilyn is also a member of the House Committee on Small Business.
Since first being elected in November of 2002, Marilyn has taken great pride in standing up for the common sense values that Coloradans share. She has been a leader for agriculture, 2nd Amendment rights, lower taxes, limited government, and education. Additionally, Marilyn has fought hard for all the men and women who have served in the United States military and worked to ensure they received the benefits due them for their courageous sacrifice.
Marilyn is a life-long Coloradan and has lived in the Fourth Congressional District all her life. She was raised in rural Weld County and graduated from Eaton High School. Marilyn attended Colorado State University where she met and married Steve Musgrave. After college, Steve and Marilyn went on to teach school in Fort Morgan and they operated a hay farm for over twenty years in eastern Colorado. Marilyn began her public service in 1990 and has served on the Morgan County school board, in the Colorado State House of Representatives, in the Colorado State Senate, and in the United States Congress.
